Unspinning O'Reilly (torture)*

From this article Bill says:

Now, I am not making this up. The dreaded torture machine that is the Bush administration unleashed the Red Hot Chili Peppers on an Al Qaeda big shot. How could they?
According to the article, Zubaydah gave up a number of his fellow killers, including Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11. But come on, the ends do not justify the means. Using the Chili Peppers is beyond the pale.
Somewhere Attila the Hun is weeping with laughter.
But this whole thing is deadly serious. Thanks to the American thugs at Abu Ghraib and the hysterical left-wing press, the entire world thinks the USA is a nation of brutes who torture for pleasure. Human rights groups can't condemn us fast enough for our terrible treatment of people captured on the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq. Guantanamo Bay is a gulag, Dick Cheney is Henrich Himmler. And the beat goes on.

But Bill, what about the other examples? What about the times when they left Anthony and Flea at home? What about this little chestnut:

Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen, was pulled from a boarding line at JFK Airport and sent via "extraordinary rendition" to Jordan, where he was beaten with chains before being sent to Syria, where he was beaten with electrical cables and kept in a tiny cell for 10 months. More than a year after being rendered by U.S. authorities, Arar was released and told there was no evidence that he was involved in terrorism. Our government's response to his torture and lost year? "Tough Luck." Since 9/11, human rights experts estimate the U.S. has rendered anywhere from one hundred to several thousand people to countries where torture is the norm.

He conveniently left that one out. Just another example of his greater agenda. Keep saying the media is liberal and maybe somebody will be naive enough to buy into it. Everyone should know who runs Fox News (Rupert Murdoch). Everyone should know who runs NBC (General Electric). Everyone should know who runs CBS (Westinghouse). MAJOR COPORATIONS. To assert that the media is even remotely liberal while run by major capitalist ventures is either a lie or unfortunate imbecility.

*Please note that I used a flattering press photo of Bill. I hate it when articles critical of someone, use a photograph to portray them as constipated or retarded. Something commonly done in political campaigning. Bill, you look marvelous....it's what comes out of your mouth and pen that makes a sight for sore eyes and sound for sore ears.
